About Us

The Master of Science (MSc) in Psychotherapy Program offers students a clinical learning experience that includes training in psychotherapy theory, applied clinical skill development, and direct supervision.

The MSc in Psychotherapy Program is a full-time professional, course-based degree that includes applied clinical training. The program is designed to provide students with a variety of training opportunities to gain theoretical knowledge and competency in the delivery of psychotherapy. In addition, throughout the program students will be exposed to learning opportunities to develop skills in effective communication, critical thinking, and problem solving, which are necessary competencies for a clinician.

All students in the MSc in Psychotherapy Program will complete:

  • 11 courses, including seven required courses
  • Two elective courses
  • Two clinical practicum placements

The required courses will cover introductory concepts as well as advanced training in psychotherapy theory, research and applied clinical skills. The practicum courses will provide students with the opportunity to apply the skills they are learning in a clinical setting and receive ongoing support from a supervisor who is a registered clinician.
